My Reactions to Brave New World

When I first read Brave New World, It was really interesting with their different and interesting ways of reproduction. As I read more and more of the book, it got more and more interesting. Their ways of creating babies that grows in little bottles. That got me thinking of how that's even possible. In the book, it says that the babies are conditioned chemically in a bottle right after birth. So, I was confused how the science behind this method actually worked in real life, but I can't believe how the author even thought of this. Another thing that was interesting was the way the nurses trained the babies such as when they expose them to violent stuff so it could give a reflex in the babies so it could have hatred of nature and books. So these are my thoughts about the book, Brave New World.

  1. Yes there are many unusual ways that they do things on their society, and you have many reactions but do you really believe this can happen to us in the future?

  2. I was also intrigued by the beginning of Brave New World because of its unique way of introducing us to its society, history, and their way of life. Mass producing thousands of baby siblings seems totally impossible in our world, but in their society technology surpasses ours. When addressing the caste system; Alphas, Betas, Gammas, Deltas and Epsilons, their life is already determined when their born. This differs from our society where no matter who you are, the choices in life you make are what decides your future.

  3. I honestly find there idea of producing babies was indeed clever and opportunity to prevent any pain to a mother. Because of this it'll prevent a woman's chances of dying in labor or getting hurt from losing their baby during pregnancy.

  4. Aldous Huxley illustrates the perspective of today’s society with engineering and technology to conceptualize the genetically bred humans. His unique interpretation of Brave New World is queer, yet clever and inspiring. Personally, my thoughts on nurses brainwashing eight-month-old babies was brutal, yet remorseless to provide and develop their artificial society. Their society is strict and organized by sacrificing the knowledge of books and the beauty of nature. The story progresses into the assigned roles in their organization and how the civilians' environment affects their perspective of thinking and interests.
