In A Brave New World by Aldus Huxley, the world is completely calm and stable because of the government and drugs. This is not the case with us and I am proud of that. Life is a game of semi controlled chaos and hoping things work the way you want them to. Everybody has to deal with it, in their own way with their own struggles. Some are lucky, some are not, but life is all about what you make of it. Some people are happier than others, even though they have less and that is because of how they approach it and take on the challenges of life.
Changing your thought process towards life, you can change your level of happiness. If you look at life and what it throws at you as a challenge and accept it head on, nine out of ten times you will succeed. Failure however, is often inevitable in life and that is OK. Failure proves to yourself you can always get back up and it shows you how far you have come. On the other hand, if you constantly cry woe me and complain, you will forever be fighting an uphill battle and losing. Life is what you make out of it, so make it great and memorable.
I like how you compare are world to the book "Brave new world". People should be happy and make life the best of what it can be. A lot of people go through things that interfere with their happiness. Then there's also people in the world that are just full with hatred and evil. So it's kind of hard to stay positive when it's so much negative in the atmosphere. But you only live once so might as well make the best of it.
ReplyDeleteIn addition to your post, there are also people in life who don't appreciate what they have been given. Some people take for granted their ability to walk, see, talk, and hear. Yet they complain about superficial things or minute events. In all honesty, I think everyone has done this at least once in life because it's hard not too. Also, I think failure is something that a lot of people struggle with too, many have one setback and as you say cry woe is them and complain. Failure is an obstacle just like any other, and students in particular need to learn to deal with failure and toughen up to get back up and continue with life. Lastly, I really enjoyed your post, it served as a great reminder to people about gratefulness.
